Somehow, I didn’t care about the menu mistakes, the #meh coffee and all the tiring talks about religions and politics in this trip, but that LOL with a stranger perfectly ended my trip to Kei Islands.
I remember my guru told me that when awareness is released from its physical host, a strange sensation usually occurred in one or more of the sensing organs. Probably, in this dive, because I closed my eyes, I sensed the burning all over my skin.
“Kayaknya sudah kena racun diving,” begitu komentar Bli Widana tentang mba Dewi. “Tinggal nunggu dapat sertifikat saja,” timpal saya.
“Mbak-nya sudah pintar diving ya, mas?” tanya boat man kami. Saya mengangguk sambil senyum-senyum memandang mbak Dewi yang sedang naik ke atas jukung.
As soon as the lights on the boat were turned off, millions of tiny planktons were littering the water with their glittering color in all possible shades, turning the shallow water glowing like the star-studded sky above.
It was a very heavenly night. It was a very rewarding dive trip.
Karena buka diver sejati, jadinya jarang-jarang nulis catatan menyelam. Maklum, kalo di dalam air sering lupa ngelihat apa aja; sibuk pasang bodi sih.
Mestinya judul di atas “Catatan Perjalanan Bali – Lombok – Sumbawa – Komodo – Flores – Lembata – Alor – Timor (Kupang dan Dili) – Sumba” untuk menggenapkan cita-cita menyusur kepulauan Sunda Kecil.
